On April 24th, Gladwyne, Merion and Wynnewood Civic Associations hosted an open Q & A with 4 of our new commissioners as part of our attempt to inform our neighbors about critical issues facing Lower Merion.
Speakers:
Commissioner Mike McKeon of Ward 3
Commissioner Anthony Stevenson of Ward 4
Commissioner Andy Gavrin of Ward 6
Commissioner Todd Sinai of Ward 12.
Principal topic of the evening were development and its impact on quality of life issues such as traffic, infrastructure, the preservation of green space and the impact on our schools. In addition, many residents are concerned about the lack of affordable housing in the township, which was also addressed. Finally, our speakers spoke about the progress being made in writing the new zoning code.
A Q and A session following the commissioners’ presentations was lively, and covered a number of topics in addition to the ones mentioned.
Based on the feedback we’ve received from attendees, we hope to hold more events like this in the future!
