Tuesday, June 19th at 6 p.m. Township rezoning update
The consulting team currently working with the township to develop a revision of the zoning code will offer a progress update on that process and answer questions from the public.
This is an opportunity for township residents to learn about the rezoning process and how it will “preserve Lower Merion’s classic residential neighborhoods, the township’s village core and commercial area to improve walkability, expand transit use and encourage design excellence.
The meeting will take place at the Township Administration Building, 2nd floor Board Room, 75 E. Lancaster Ave.
Tuesday, June 26th at 7:30 p.m. Knox Estate presentation
The French International School, which is seeking to consolidate and relocate its facilities on the Knox Home in Wynnewood, will present its proposed plan to the WCA at our regular monthly meeting on June 26th.
The Knox Home is located at 718 Sussex Rd. in Wynnewood and its future development has been the subject of discussion in the township for several years.
The French International School currently has two locations in Lower Merion Township. Pre-K through 3rd grades are located at 150 Highland Avenue in Bala Cynwyd and 4th through 8th grades are located at 23 City Avenue, also in Bala Cynwyd. It has entered into an agreement to purchase the Knox Home located at 718 Sussex Road in Wynnewood, at which it intends to consolidate its two locations. The school is seeking a zoning variance from the township to allow it to implement these plans.
The June 26th meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. in the parish house of All Saints Church at Montgomery Ave. and Gypsy Lane.
