The Wynnewood Civic Association awards Scholarships to LMHS Seniors,
Ms. Brett Rapkin-Citrenbaum and Mr. Isaiah Smolar
Each year the Wynnewood Civic Association awards out two scholarships in the names of Frank A. Dubois and George H. Gilbert to a female and male member of the senior graduating class of Lower Merion High School. This honor is made even more special because the recipients are selected by their graduating class who, in the opinion of their classmates, best exemplifies a spirit of willing cooperation and generous service to their school and community.
Ms. Brett Rapkin-Citrenbaum was awarded the Frank A. Dubois Award named after a distinguished Pennsylvania educator who served in the Lower Merion School District in various capacities beginning in 1931 as a teacher and serving as superintendent from 1940 to 1952. Isaiah Smolar was awarded the George H. Gilbert Award named after a distinguished Pennsylvania educator who served as principal of Lower Merion High School from 1931 to 1957.
Ruth Jenkin of the Wynnewood Civic Association Board of Directors awards the Scholarship to Brett Rapkin-Citrenbaum.
Congratulations to both recipients!
