The WCA is pleased to report that the Dunkin’ Donuts matter appears to be over!
Today we officially learned from Lower Merion Township that Dunkin’ Donuts has decided not to appeal the decision of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas denying its motion for extraordinary relief and that it also has withdrawn its application for a building permit. In addition, it also appears that Dunkin’ Donuts has been released from its lease for the old gym location at the corner of Penn and Wynnewood Roads by WP Realty.
Based on this information, it seems safe to conclude that Dunkin’ Donuts has ended its efforts to open a store at this dangerous intersection! This is very positive result for our neighborhood, and we are very happy we can enjoy the holiday season without this potentially difficult situation casting a long shadow over the festivities of the weeks ahead!
